Eating meals 3 to 4 hours before exercising is recommended. Save the snacks for 1 to 2 hours before your workout, and opt for foods that are easy to digest to.
Ease back into eating, gradually begin to eat bland, easy-to-digest foods, such as soda crackers, toast, gelatin, bananas, rice and chicken. Get plenty of rest.
